JAF and I are totally gonna make it!
Tonight he had a first date with a girl he'd been chatting with online. He was really excited/nervous about it all day.
Afterwards he texted me saying it went "really well." Even added a smiley face.
Sometimes I hate that guys can be so resilient. But other times—like tonight—I love it!

i can so relate. when mr nice, but boring showed up at church with his new girlfriend, i was ELATED. it wasnt too long before he showed up alone. dont get too comfortable!
Well, maybe he realizes what a great guy he really is and had no BIG issues moving onward and upward?!?! There are a few of us who aren't devastated every time a girl doesn't want to go out with us... :-)
What? This is quite upsetting to those of us who only live to break hearts. ;)
I just discovered this blog today, and I'd like to give a "right on" to the whole thing, the whole concept. The posts I've read match many of my own past ruminations on being single, especially "the 'perfect' one always goes". That one deserves a standing ovation, and describes exactly why my first real relationship went south when and how it did.
